You can sign up here for a free 30-day trial of Amazon Prime. After your free 30 days, you’ll be charged $119 for the year. You can also cancel within the first 30 days to avoid future charges.

Student’s can get a 6 month free trial of prime by signing up here and then will be charged $69/year. or $6.49/month

CURRENT PRIME MEMBERS: HERE’S HOW TO LOCK IN LOWER PRICE:

You can buy Prime gift memberships for $119 here. At checkout, simply enter your email in the “recipient’s email” section and enter a delivery date. You can have it delivered immediately and save it in your email or have it emailed before your prime membership expires. No matter how much the prime membership costs at the time your membership expires, you’ll be able to apply this $119 gift membership on your account.

IMPORTANT: You must turn off “Auto Renew” of your Prime Membership. You can do that by clicking here and hitting ‘Cancel my Benefits’ or ‘End Membership.’

Amazon will ask once or twice more if you really want to cancel and you should continue until its cancelled. Once cancelled, you will be given a date when your membership will end.

Once your prime membership expires, you can go back to your email where you sent your Prime gift membership and follow the link in the email to activate Amazon Prime for the $119 you paid instead of the $139 price.

Final note: If you’re grandgathered into an account which you share with 4 people, you shoudn’t do the above as it will end your old membership and lose the ability to have 4 people on 1 account. Its worthwhile for you to continue with your old account and pay the higher prime membership price going forward.

  1. I currently have Prime. If I buy a gift membership, cancel my current memebrship and then use the gifr membership, will I still have all my old purchase history, subscribe and saves, and other account details (like saved addresses and payment methods?)

    • Don’t cancel your current membership. Buy the gift membership, leave it in your email, turn off auto-renew on your current membership. And once your current membership ends, then activate the gift membership from your email.

  2. This method will only Keep it at $119 for an additional year. How can you keep it that way for successive years?

    • Purchase multiple gift memberships. Never let Prime auto-renew, and keep applying the gift membership yearly

  3. I am being told I am unable to buy a membership because I am a prime member. How do I get around this?
