On January 31st, Walmart dropped its Shipping Pass program<\/span><\/a> to give everyone free 2 day shipping with a $35+ purchase. At the time, Amazon only had free 2 day shipping for Prime Members and free shipping for everybody else on $49+.<\/span><\/p>\n

To counter that, on February 17 Amazon lowered its free shipping <\/span><\/a>thresh-hold for non-prime members to $35+<\/span><\/p>\n

To counter that, Walmart started giving a 5-10% discount if you select the pick up in store option as a response to Amazon who have no physical locations.<\/span><\/p>\n

Then just a few days ago, Amazon again reduced its free shipping thresh-hold to non-prime members<\/span><\/a>, this time from $35 to $25.<\/span><\/p>\n

To counter that, Walmart started giving an even bigger discount on people who select to pick-up in store again hoping their bargain prices on those items would be too much for Amazon to ship.<\/span><\/p>\n

Today, Amazon has begun price matching Walmart’s in-store pickup discounts which has this day feeling like a mini black Friday.<\/span><\/p>\n
