Amazon has quietly lowered its minimum threshold for free shipping for non-prime members to $35; down from $49! If you recall, we wrote about Walmart dropping its Shipping Pass program and offer free 2-day shipping on all orders over $35. There has been no official announcement yet but if you go on any Amazon listing below $35, you will see 
“FREE Shipping on orders over $35″
All orders of $35 or more of eligible items across any product category also qualify for FREE Shipping. With free shipping, your order will be delivered 5-8 business days after all of your items are available to ship, including pre-order items.
The Minimum Purchase Requirement for free shipping from top merchants:
Amazon [Non-Prime] $35
Walmart: $35
Best Buy: $35
Target: $25
If you don’t have prime, you can get it free for 30 days here. Students can get 6 months free!
