New Yorkers will soon have a shorter wait for their Amazon purchases.
Amazon announced plans to open one of their giant fulfillment centers in a Staten Island industrial park by the end of the summer, the NY Post reported on Monday.
The Amazon “fulfillment center” will span nearly 1 million square feet on the west shore of Staten Island, amping up Amazon’s access to millions of online shoppers in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island.
The bold move comes a few days after Amazon purchased Whole Foods for $13.7 Billion as they continue their push deeper into groceries market.
